FIA Middle East Rally Champioinship

The 30th Rally of Lebanon has added two milestones in its history. It was first time that it had been run in a rainy weather and the  2007 Middle East Rally Championship was decided because of it, where the winner, Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah of Qatar, was crowned the Champion of the year, although he has not have the chance in winning it so far.

In its 31st edition, The Rally of Lebanon was planned with that same distinctive concept of the preceding event. The controversy between man and machine once again will show in 280kms of eighteen challenging special stages with slippery tarmac, of which two are new, and run over 950kms in two days, defies all kinds of rallying definitions.

The 31st Rally of Lebanon will commence with a ceremonial start that will be held on Friday June 27th 2008, at the Town hall Square; Jounieh.

Designed as a compact structured event with one Service Park in Jounieh and two Remote Service Zones located in Barbara and  in Barouk, and altitudes varying between 52 and 1836 meters, makes the 31st Rally of Lebanon the longest and most demanding event in the Middle East Rally Championship. Yet, you cannot but fall in love with it as others did before.
